Why he's awesome: The mega teen star had quite the insane year with his successful debut studio album Handwritten, and he used his star power this year to team up with DoSomething.org to help boost self-esteem with his #NotesFromShawn campaign, and worked with Pencils of Promise to build a school in Ghana.
Misha Collins
Why he's awesome: He makes us all swoon on-screen in Supernatural, and Misha also helps change lives as the founder of Random Acts, "an organization that encourages people to do random acts of kindness, which has provided families in Nicaragua with the means to travel to get the secondary education they'd otherwise be unable to access."
Shakira
Why she's awesome: The supremely talented singer celebrated her second child by hosting a "World Baby Shower" to benefit UNICEF.
